Exchange Server 2013 reached its end of life support with Microsoft on 11 April 2023, so it no longer receives new features, bug fixes, security fixes, etc. As a result, on 18 September 2023 we will be upgrading all Exchange 2013 accounts to Exchange 2019, at no additional cost to clients. If you are using a current version of Outlook and a modern device to access, then there should be nothing for you to do; the upgrade will be handled by us.

What do you need to check?

• Outlook mobile users:
  If you use a mobile device (e.g. a phone or tablet) to access your email then no action will be required on your part.
• Outlook online (OWA) users:
  If you use Outlook online on the web (also known as OWA) to access your email then no action will be required on your part.
• Outlook desktop users:
  Please check that you are using a modern version of Outlook supported by Microsoft and compatible with Exchange 2019. Outlook versions 2016, 2019, and 2021 are all supported and are compatible. Outlook 365 (available as part of Microsoft 365) is updated on an ongoing basis and is fully supported and compatible.

Please note that Outlook 2007 reached end of support on 10 October 2017 and support for Outlook 2010 ended on 13 October 2020 – thus neither of these versions are supported or compatible. If you are still using one of these outdated versions of Outlook we recommend you upgrade to a supported version (Outlook 2016 or newer) as soon as possible in order to ensure no disruption in your Exchange email service. Outlook is available as part of most Microsoft 365 subscriptions as well as as part of Microsoft Office as a one-off licence purchase.
