We are pleased to present the new ‘Your response to local housing need’ online resources website section for Housing Justice.
Housing Justice joined the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Commission on Housing, Church and Community in a project to release freely available resources to empower communities and churches to respond to the local housing needs of their areas. We were asked to envisage and create a new section of the Housing Justice website to provide these resources in an easily accessible manner, both online and offline, whilst staying in keeping with the wider look and feel of the existing site.
We designed and built the new online resources section which showcases a huge amount of information in a clear and simple way, by keeping the user on the same page and dynamically loading in a resource without the need to navigate deeper. Dynamic filters and short summaries of each resource are also used to further help navigation of the contents.
All the resources are available to view both online and download as a PDF. The PDFs are created dynamically on-the-fly from the website’s CMS using a custom plugin we developed, which entirely removed the need for these to be manually created, and also enables Housing Justice to make edits without having to recreate these.
