Introducing Windows 11

Microsoft has announced Windows 11, as we predicted early last week.
Windows 11 will be available as a free upgrade to existing Windows 10 PCs and will ship on new PCs from Christmas 2021 and continuing into 2022. From the images that have been released so far, Windows 11 seems to take a lot of cues for Apple’s macOS operating system, with the new centrally aligned taskbar and softened corners on windows.
Microsoft says that Windows 11 is designed to be:
- Redesigned for productivity, creativity and ease
- A faster way to get the information you care about
- A faster way to connect to the people you care about
- faster, more secure and familiar for IT
- a more open ecosystem unlocking new opportunity for developers
- the best PC gaming experience yet
