New Content Viewer app now available

A brand new version of the Content Viewer app is now available exclusively for Windows 10. The app has been designed specifically for desktops, tablets and mobiles that run Windows 10.

The content viewer app is great for viewing your files stored in the cloud (e.g. photos, music, movies) on-the-go — making them easy to access wherever you are. You can store your files in a Shared Drive for access for multiple users and from multiple machines. And you can also protect all of your files and folders using our unlimited Backup service.

BT Broadband Second Day Fault Now Resolved

BT has updated its status regarding their earlier broadband fault saying, “Sorry to all of you who had problems using internet services today. Internet usage is back to normal for BT home & small business customers”

The issue was due to a power outage resulting in services being down in different locations from yesterday’s power outage.

BT Broadband Fault in its Second Day

BT is in their second day of broadband issues, due to a power outage at another location. Many services have been affected, not just those users on BT connections.

BT and Plusnet customers are having problems connecting to some internet services this morning. One of BT’s internet connection partners in the docklands has suffered particularly substantial power failure.

This morning the problems began shortly after 6am with a spike in reports and almost 2,300 customers complaining closely following.

BT Broadband Fault Now Resolved

BT has updated the public approximately one hour ago confirming that their earlier broadband fault has now been resolved.

BT tweeted, “We’re sorry that some BT customers had problems accessing some internet services earlier. This has now been resolved and services restored.”

BT Broadband fault causing UK-wide havoc

There is a nationwide fault with BT today (started circa 8:15am). We are getting reports from everyone on a BT internet connection that there is an issue.

Thousands of people have been left with limited internet access as a regional fault has resulted in BT Broadband lines going down across the entire UK.

As this is such a widespread issue we expect this to be resolved as soon as possible today. As of 10am, BT says the broadband outage is due to “power issues at one of our internet peering partners’ sites in London” and that engineers are working on a fix.

Important Update Information — Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft has released a major update for the OneDrive client, which affects both home and business users. Everyone is advised to update in order to keep their OneDrive services running properly. Interestingly, if you also sync SharePoint libraries (in a business environment) then you need to also keep the old client as well — thus both have to be running.

This update provides a faster and more reliable sync experience so you will have the latest version of your files accessible to you from any device.

Over the next few months, this update will be rolled out.

Instagram to Launch Profiles for Businesses in Near Future

Instagram will soon have the option for business accounts. Tools are currently being perfected to have Instagram business accounts similar to Facebook, offering many of the features and analytics.

The useful tools for business’ include the new contact button, a map with direction to the business’ location, and ability to categorise your business by its type.

The most clearly visible new feature is the white “Contact” button, which will be left of the current “Follow” button. After pressing the contact button, a pop-up menu appears offering options for “Get Directions” and “Email” — where you can email directly to the business’ account.

Similar to the Facebook business profiles, you will be able to track how your posts are doing. Tracking offers you valuable insight into which posts are doing the best and then use this information for future posts.

The new Instagram business profile is currently being tested but Instagram has said that it will become available for all in the next few months.
