Important maintenance on our Hosted Exchange Service is due to take place on Saturday 30, April between 09:30 and 13:30.
This is planned to rectify issues with the 2016 service. Please be aware that customers on our Hosted Exchange may experience slower performance during the maintenance.
Microsoft have announced that Office 2013 will reach the end of support on 11 April 2023.
After this date, Microsoft won’t provide any new security updates or fixes for Office 2013, and therefore it may be vulnerable to security risks and impact your ability to meet compliance obligations. Office 2013 may also have performance or reliability issues.
Microsoft previously retired Office 2013 from connectivity with Microsoft 365 services back in October 2020. This version of Office is not blocked but there is no guarantee of compatibility or support.
Microsoft encourage users to upgrade to a newer version of Office, such as Office 2021 or Microsoft 365 – in order to receive regular security updates and all the latest features.
As Microsoft Partners we can provide both Office 2021 (long-term licences) and Microsoft 365 (annual subscriptions) at discounted pricing, which both include the latest Office software. Please contact us to upgrade from Office 2013.
Universal Analytics will be replaced by Google Analytics 4 in Summer 2023.
On 1 July 2023, the previous standard Google Universal Analytics will cease to exist and will be replaced by the new Google Analytics 4.
Until this date, users can continue to collect new data in Universal Analytics properties. After this point, users will be able to access previously processed data in the Universal Analytics property for circa six months to 1st October, but new data will not be collected. Therefore, it is strongly encouraged to export historical reports before the cut off point on 1st July.
This represents the most significant change to the Google Analytics platform since 2012, when Universal Analytics was introduced. Retiring this default property type will impact most users of the platform. It is also the most widely supported and integrated property type. Whereas the newer Analytics 4 property type currently comes with fewer reports and fewer useful views; these have to be configured by users.
Google Analytics 4 differs from its predecessor in that it operates across platforms, doesn’t rely on cookies, and uses an event-based data model for measurement. It also does not store IP addresses, which can help organisations adhere to privacy regulations, such as the GDPR.
